This EP was really just cast out there for us to use as a toilet roll to stuff our drooling mouthes with. While of course they record an album. Six tracks is really all we need to keep us going. I don't know how long I'm going to last, but on to the twins...
Their voices sound like all your favorite female vocals rolled into one. Specially the techniques of psycho swan Bjork and even Edie Brickell and Feist even a bit of Joplin. The songs are stripped and beautiful melancholy just the way I like it. Who the hell is 16 years old and happy anyway, stuff that. The sound like orphans locked in a dungeon if they sang tuneful happy songs they would have been shite.
"In just two years, Taxi Taxi! has gone from a bedroom demo project, to virtual indie sensation with the creative duo just turning 17! The Swedish pair haven’t released a proper album to date, but this hasn’t stopped them from bagging slots at Europe’s biggest festivals such as Roskilde and Hultsfred. On the basis of just two demos (made public via the Internet,) the identical twin sisters Miriam and Johanna Eriksson Berhan have already turned the heads of myspace travellers, enchanted live audiences in large scale, scoring prominent fan-bases in Sweden
Norway and Denmark. All of this seems truly impressive considering they have achieved such success whilst juggling their music with school."
I don't even really like girl/women vocals but I love these girls as the honesty is just so endearing. It is hard to let people see your soul through the eyes of your music. these girls do it and make it look simple too.
